Young Adult Offerings

  • Our volunteer mentorship program is open to young adults 18-25 who are looking to participate in our community by offering social or skills support.

    This is a volunteer position, and positions may be limited, due to enrollment or scheduling constraints. Mentors observe the assembly but do not typically participate in the consensus process. Mentors must go through a short training, sign a conduct contract, and maintain a childcare background check with the state.

  • The young adult internship program is an opportunity for young adults 18-25 to participate in our community and learn about SDE in a more official and organized capacity. This volunteer position is open to motivated young people looking for more responsibility and job skill building. In addition to participating in the community, Interns’ tasks may include taking clerkships not requested by enrolled youth, and other administrative tasks. This position observes the assembly but do not typically participate in the consensus process. Interns will go through a training, sign a conduct contract and maintain a childcare background check with the state.
